Canadian Large Size
I need help identifying a large brown flying insect in my NE Ohio yard that looks like a mosquito but is not.?
It is the size of a half dollar. He has long legs that hang below the wings and ethereal as a dragonfly. This is not a dragonfly. It is how larger than a mosquito does not bite. They began to swarm around the end of September and all are OVER! I thought they were soldiers, but my husband says they are not.
Sounds like a crane fly. They are big, but harmless.
